Our Sailboat Interior
Grazieba,
truly one of a kind
From 1980 – 2017
Our sailboat Grazieba has quite an impressive story. She was handbuilt in Italy from 1980 until 1991 by one single man, Enzo T., who dreamed of building his own sailboat. Prior to starting his project, Enzo wrote letters to American naval architect Peter Ibold, living in France at the time, to get the project details of his Ketch Endurance Hédoniste 44. Just imagine what dedication and craftmanship Enzo must have had to spend 11 years to build this 14-meter lady all by himself… He is forever our hero!
From 2017 until now
In 2017, Tommaso became Grazieba’s new captain thanks to Claudio, shipowner of “Gonfi Gonfi”, a race sailing boat located on Garda Lake in Italy. He met Enzo in Sardinia during the summer and discovered that Grazieba had to find as soon as possible a new Captain! The boat was, like all boats are always, in urgent need of maintenance. He replaced the engine, all rigging, and electronics. In some parts of the boat, water had infiltrated and the wooden walls had to be replaced. In 2018, Laura joined Tommaso in his big quest to get the boat ready to sail again. From 2018 until now, we have dedicated ourselves full-time to refitting Grazieba inside and outside.
